Anamaria is a Romanian Actress. Her debut on screen was Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 movie for which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award as the Best Actress. Fluently speaks French, German and English. Her mother was a violinist and her father is a theater professor in one of Romania's best acting schools. The Mangalia Gala, which is a celebration of Young Actors, she was awarded the Best Female Actor Award 2000. In 2008, the European Film Promotion Board named her an European Shooting Star in 2008. It was a huge success and won numerous awards such as the European Film Award Best Actress for the London Film Critics. In 2007, she was in on the Romanian film 4 luni 3 semaines si2 (4 Months, 3 Weeks 4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 days) which was directed composed by Cristian Mungiu. The film was awarded two awards at Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize from the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). Additionally, she was a part in the film of Francis Ford Coppola Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she appeared as Yasim Anwar in the BBC Five-episode mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca was a part of The Romanian drama Boogie and in Oliver Hirschbiegel's critically well-known Five Minutes of Heaven. Then, she played major roles in 2014's Fury in which she portrayed Irma who was the German Aunt of Emma.
