She was named one of the year's hottest teen celebrities in July's issue of Vanity Fair. In 2004, Vega recorded two films: Sleepover, and State's Evidence. The following year she appeared in the Lifetime TV film Odd Girl Out, as an online bullying victim. The film was a specially-made television show in 2006 called Walkout. The year 2007, she finished the filming of Remember the Daze which was only available in select theatres. Repo is her swan song. The Genetic Opera released in 2008. [10] Vega was confirmed to play the main character in Helix composed and directed by Aram Rappaport. The film began filming in Chicago beginning in March of 2008. She was originally cast in The 2009 Robert Rodriguez film Shorts, but due to being in Australia to film Broken Hill, she had been recast. She was replaced by Kat Dennings. Penny, a character she appeared in on Broadway's Hairspray. She appeared in the 2009 film as she played Ruby Gallagher on the ABC Family television comedy Ruby & the Rockits, with Patrick as well as David Cassidy. Vega is Wick who is a character from The Devil's Carnival from 2012 which was a film directed by Darren Lynn Bousman. Screenwriter Terrance Zudunich previously worked with Vega as part of Repo! Vega played a role in The Pregnancy Project on Lifetime Channel as well as completed her animated movie The Clockwork Girl. The Mine was filmed by Vega in the year 2010. It only had a small screening. Vega was the voice of Christina on the animated show Unsupervised, and also had an appearance in Royal Pains.
